The course will provide you an opportunity to explore scriptwriting, camera, editing and sound design with both aesthetic and technical knowledge and skills. Course Description:
This 15-weekend course will provide comprehensive training in producing short films for cinema and television, taught by senior and experienced faculty and practicing filmmakers.
This course will have the following three components
- First five weeks will consist of intensive classes on theoretical aspects of filmmaking, focusing on craft, aesthetics and language of cinema with screenings of pertinent short films and movie clips from Indian and world cinema.
- Second five weeks will consist of hands-on training on all aspects of filmmaking – writing script, handling DSLR cameras, production management and handling post production (edit and sound).
- Third five weeks will consist of actual production of short films by each participant, mentored by senior faculty.
At the end of the course each participant will carry a short film directed by them (as a team) and basic knowledge of filmmaking that will give them the confidence to go further in filmmaking.
