Sumanta Dutta, Assistant Professor in Sound Design and Music Production at L V Prasad College of Media Studies, is a graduate of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata. He has worked as a freelance sound engineer for many short films, documentaries, and feature films. I worked as a Sound Designer in Films like A Dog and His Man and Dusk, which were screened at multiple film festivals around the world.

Apart from sound, he has a good understanding of music production.

Sumanta was a sound faculty in FTII, Itanagar. There, he found that students come with fresh ideas and thoughts. As a teacher, he is committed to bringing their ideas to life, and to helping students learn the importance of sound in films.
