Hari Balachandran (Bala) is the Director at L V Prasad Film and Television Academy. The academy offer programs to help build a global pool of future media and entertainment professionals. The film school is one of the premier institutions in South India which has built its reputation on strong academic team, robust teaching methodology and integration with the industry. In the past Bala has worked with Pearson VUE – the world largest CBT testing company, NIIT Limited, IMS Learning and Gallup. Bala has a mechanical engineering degree and post graduate diploma in management.
Before joining LVPA as Director of Academics, Santanu Chatterjee taught in the Cinema Division at Minneapolis College (MCTC) in Minnesota, USA, for sixteen years. He was the founding head of the Directing program at MCTC. He moved to Minneapolis from Colorado where he supervised a video and multimedia training program for Colorado Department of Corrections inmates. Santanu has also taught film production and screenwriting at the University of Malta in Europe, and sound recording/design as a teaching assistant at Syracuse University in New York. Originally from Kolkata, India, Santanu moved to the USA in 1983 to study filmmaking. He has an MFA in film from Syracuse University, New York. Santanu’s short film Rose From Concrete won first place at the Jaro/Peachtree Village International Film Festival in 2018. His 2010 short film, It Does Not Die won an Accolade Award. In 2015 Santanu received a Minnesota State Arts Board (MSAB) Cultural Community Partnership grant (in collaboration with Pangea World Theater in Minneapolis) to direct three experimental video pieces entitled: The Sufi Video Project. He has participated as a panelist on MSAB’s Artist Initiative Grant, and the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival’s Minnesota-Made Feature award. Santanu has also served as a director on the board of St. Paul Neighborhood Network, as a jury member on the University Film and Video Association’s Carole Fielding Grant panel, and the 6th Grand Prix International Video Dance competition sponsored by UNESCO. He received several Teaching Excellence awards during his tenure at MCTC.
An alumni of Syracuse University, New York (USA), Prachee has extensive experience in educational evaluation and assessment, as well as professional development, with a focus on improving pedagogy by using data about student experiences. Her work experience started with teaching in India, and after completing graduate studies in the USA, she worked in leadership positions in Colorado and Minnesota. As an evaluator, she has served on the MN State Arts Board’s annual grant-giving deliberation and recommendation processes. As a board member of Ananya Dance, she collaborated in strategic planning and implementation for the organization. Prachee is trained in numerous strategic planning and leadership building processes, from Baldrige to Covey’s Seven Habits to Courageous Conversations and The Art of Mindful Inquiry. She has facilitated and trained educators and administrators for a variety of purposes, from assessment and data literacy to impactful leadership. In the last few years, her focus has sharpened to naming and addressing structural inequities – from gaps in opportunity, access, and cultural capital to support – helping educators to perceive them and be moved into personal action in their sphere of professional practice to bring about changes.
M. Rajkumar, Registrar of L.V. Prasad Film and TV Academy, has a Masters in Engineering in Applied Electronics from Anna University as well as a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Starting his career as a lecturer in Electrical Engineering, he has over two decades of experience in education, training and administration. He started his career as a lecturer in Electrical Engineering and has served as ISO Coordinator and NBA Coordinator. He spent more than 15 years on affiliation-related work with AICTE, DOTE, & Anna University. He has published in research journals and presented at professional conferences. Rajkumar is currently pursuing his Ph. D. in the area of wireless sensor networks.
Ravi Chander G. is the General Manager of Sales & Marketing at L. V. Prasad Film and Television Academy. Ravi is a stalwart in the field with over 30 years of rich experience in the corporate world, with leading organizations like NIIT and Sutherland Global Services. He has worked in sales & marketing, recruitment, product delivery, need management, customer relations, channel management, industry collaboration and coordination at both operational and strategic levels.
Ravi is a graduate of Madras University and holds a diploma in Sales & Marketing from NIS. He has won prestigious awards like Excellence Award, Chairman’s Quality Club Award and Leadership Award from NIIT and Sutherland.
