ONE YEAR POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA in editing (CHENNAI CAMPUS)
The principles and conventions of editing drive how narrative films are shot; editing is not just about learning software but also about understanding narrative structure and performance. It is critical for editors to master the language of cinema so that they can thoughtfully and intentionally select, arrange, trim and pace camera footage to transform it into powerful and coherent stories. In addition to editing, students learn colour grading, and compositing. They work with final year students of Direction and Cinematography on diploma films.

Modern Indian Cinema is undoubtedly going to dominate the world of entertainment in the coming years. This means preparing the new generation with out-of-the-box ideas and synthesizing it with new technological inputs. The Prasad Academy students seem very comfortable on both these fronts and I wish them all the best.

It is commendable that the Prasad Group has taken the initiative to develop an Academy to serve the purposes of the Indian film industry. Their students will definitely usher in a meaningful cinema for the new generation.
